What are Skills Bootcamps
Skills bootcamps are a type of intensive training program that is designed to help individuals quickly gain a specific set of skills in a short amount of time. These programs are typically focused on practical, hands-on learning, and are often geared toward helping people who want to enter a new career or improve their job prospects in their current field.
Bridges are currently delivering a number of Skills Bootcamps.These are funded through the Department of Education and form part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee, helping everyone gain Skills for Life. Our classes incorporate traditional learning styles as well as hands-on experiences in our purpose built workshops.
Bridges are working with the West of England Combined Authority & the Department of Education to provide free specific Mechanical & Electrical training and upskilling. This is available to anyone in the local area who is 19 yrs of age or over (subject to meeting certain criteria) Everyone completing the course is provided a guaranteed interview which could lead to a new career as part of one of our dedicated installation teams.
